Established in 1985, by Michael L. Smith, Kitchen Concepts Plus, Inc. has been providing Hawaii residents with medium to high end custom kitchens and baths with over 40 years of experience. Michael has served as National Director (eight years) for NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) and was one of the founders of the local chapter of the NKBA Aloha Chapter. Smith's credentials include the highest level of certification as CMKBD (Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer).
and is an Allied Member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).
The past four years, Smith has been a Member of the Contractors Advisory Committee for the Regulated Industries Complaints Office, Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs and currently sits on the NKBA Board Standards Committee.
Through the years, his projects are often recognized in local as well as national publications and have been honored with awards for his talent in design competitions. A frequent guest lecturer, Smith offers Interior Design students at our local colleges, exciting solutions and inspirations for designing kitchens. He has been recognized by Remodeling Magazine as one of the top 50 contractors in the USA. His most recent honor was being awarded the coveted ASID "Best of the Best."
